Winnipeg Lesbian & Gay Pride Inc.
Winnipeg Lesbian and Gay Pride Inc. (Winnipeg Pride) is a not-for-profit, volunteer organization
in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Our objective is to create and coordinate an array of cultural events that
celebrate the incredibly diverse community that supports or identifies with gay, lesbian, bisexual,
transsexual, transgendered, intersex, two-spirited, and queer people.
We are a proud member of INTERPRIDE
InterPride is an international Association of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Pride Coordinators.
Winnipeg Lesbian & Gay Pride Inc. joined InterPride in 2003 and sent 3 members to attended
the international conference in Montréal.
These events have connected Winnipeg with Pride organizations around the world and have inspired
great ideas on organizing this complicated, but rewarding celebration.
Winnipeg Pride has continued to attend Canadian Region 7 conferences and the last International
conference hosted in Minneapolis.
Winnipeg was proud to host the last Canadian Region 7 Conference in 2005 .
InterPride exists
- To promote Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Pride on an international level,
- To increase networking and communication among Pride Organizations,
- To encourage diverse communities to hold and attend Pride Events, and
- To act as a source of education.
Fierté Canada Pride is a Canadian not-for-profit incorporated organization, dedicated to
the networking, support and expansion of Pride events throughout Canada. This organization will
bring together Pride groups from across our country allowing them to speak with one strong voice
for arts and cultural funding, government initiatives, and equal rights issues.
